Hi, I am Por.  My full name is Piriyada Vessuwon.  I am Thai and living in Bangkok.  I started to practice yoga in 2010 and obtained the yoga teacher qualifications from Sunee Yoga School in Bangkok and the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in India in 2015.  I am a follower of Sivananda Lineage.  Sivananda Yoga is a pure classical yoga, not an acrobatic exercise. 

My Yoga Journey

I am fond of the pure classical Hatha Yoga style propagated by Swami Sivananda Saraswati (1887-1963) which emphasizes on 5 elements: proper exercise, proper breathing, proper relaxation, proper diet, and positive thinking and meditation.  This holistic approach finetunes the body, mind, and spirituality.  Beautification aspects such as weight loss, radiant skin, lean body, younger look, are merely by-products. 

It is to bear in mind that yoga cannot cure all diseases.  Nevertheless, at core, it helps calm your mind and empowers you to manage the situation better.  I was lucky that I found the right knowledge and the right teachers.  With practice since 2010, I have been experiencing with myself the improvements in physical and mental health along the journey. With inner peace and conscious living, life is beautiful. 

In 2017, I became a full-time teaching staff at the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, Trivandrum, India.  Since then, I have helped a number of students overcome stress, office syndromes, and non-communicable diseases.   I am now living in Bangkok.
