How to Change Negative Thoughts into Positive Thoughts

First, be aware of the nature of the negative thought. Learn to recognize the nature of your thought and evaluate its importance by seeing how frequently the thoughts occurs in your mind. Study the different thoughts. For example, anger is hot and destructive and comes from desired unfulfilled. Remove anger by letting go of desires and expectation. Fear is cold and paralyzing and comes from attachment. Letting go of attachment reduces fears and worries. Have a conviction that it is not worth keeping the negative thought in the mind.
Try different methods to change the thoughts. You are your own doctor and you can help yourself by changing your thoughts. Know that you have choices. Know that you have choices; one method might not work, but others will and your favourite way might not be the appropriate one. Ultimately, thoughts is not you and it is changeable. Stay vigivant to the fact that one negative thought will bring with it a train of negative thought. One positive thought will bring with it a train of positive thoughts which uplift you.
